This is a very frustrating issue I encounter when drafting. I am in the US so we use fractional inches. But some tools do not allow fractional inches to be input unless they are entered in a strange format. For example, when using the Offset tool, if I want to enter the value 8 3/8", the tool commits 8' as soon as I press the spacebar. Using a dash (8-3/8") works, but that's very unintuitive because it's not how we write this dimension in the US. The proper notation is 8 [space] 3/8", not 8 [dash] 3/8".
It's even more frustrating if I want to create a dimension with feet and fractional inches. This is the proper way to write the dimension 8'-8 3/8", but in the Offset tool I have to write 8'8-3/8" to have the tool work properly. That is a very mangled way to write that dimension. Please fix this.
