I'm curious as to whether anyone has figured out a work-around for creating walls that show more than one material. For instance, in a plan view, I'd like to create an exterior wall that is composed of a brick veneer, air gap, and wood stud framing. I understand that I can draw these separately, but then the window and door tools lose their functionality as they will cut through one of the walls but not the other.
I also realize that I could just show this as a thicker wall, but even at a 1/8" = 1' scale, I believe that the brick and studs should be distinguished, ideally with different hatches.
It would also be nice to have different lines show up a different scales so that an enlarged plan could show sheetrock or other wall finishes that wouldn't show up at a typical 1/4" = 1' scale.
I've been told that Rayon is working on something like this, but it is really holding me back from using the program, as this is a pretty common wall type (for me at least). I know this might sound nit-picky, but without this, it's difficult for me to justify switching software as it seems like a hassle to try to figure out some kind of convoluted work-around.
Thank you.
